Video Surveillance.

Now with the pranks that we recently endured from that night in October it’s not a stretch to start considering surveillance, and I’m not talking as if I’m Q outfitting you alright Bond? The point that I am currently attempting to establish is how much we take for granted living in safe neighborhoods and we sometimes are shocked to have that innocence that pleasant ignorance wrecked by having our homes broke into and not be able to know who did it.

Though it costs so much for surveillance systems, and that is why there are consumer priced cameras out there, those glorious words mean for just fewer than 600 dollars you can have all the outdoors on a constant backup, being recorded and that saying a picture is worth a thousand words well imagine some dumb guy pleading out faster than oprah to the buffet table because you have video evidence.

I’d definitely have to recommend the 2 camera dvr kit from EZwatch pro, mainly for the reason that it comes with the software, manuals, and 2 cameras all for the price of about 400 bucks. These are professional grade at a damn good price. So if your in the market for home security and you don't want to break the bank check out ezwatch for amazing deals and great tech.

new formats and frustration.

So filmmaking has been the main focus so far of my blog, and with that in mind I’d like to focus on the plethora of new formats out there especially the impact on the market.
It’s amazing how much are out there three are out, and they are all competing against each other. Its difficult to stay on top of things with the amount of new tech flooding the market, I phones, I pods, hell I’m pretty sure apples even made a soft drink by now. Three, seriously three for god sake! Blue ray, hi definition, and the old reliable standard dvd, all against eachother all costing great deals of money to upgrade, and to secure a significant collection.
Collecting even, don’t get me started on that, the amount of trouble I go through to find some pretty obscure movies out there is horrendous, and when I find them turns out they just re released it on some new format heck as I speak they’ve probably just re released all the star wars films and created a new format all together.
What to do? What to buy and how to obtain these players are even more pressing questions, when stores have them they are suddenly out of stock and now it’d be wiser to just download then buy the new formats because odds are it’ll all fall back down to becoming last gen as the new ones are in. What we really need now is a dvd player that plays all formats at a consumer price and here is an old saying if it isn’t broke don’t fix it seriously but im a traditionalist and I’ll be sticking with regular dvd’s till they get put in the stone age like their fallen vhs brethren .

Excel how do i loathe thee let me count the ways.

Microsoft excel, such a dandy pile of technological trash this is, oh god I never thought I’d hate a program so much until I used this scummy program. Where is the appeal I remembered asking myself , why in gods name would someone willingly subject themselves to this? And then it dawned on me, the whole big picture suddenly clear, you could get math homework done while using excel.

I personally would choose hours and hours of continuous hand cramping paper filling time wasting homework, then one barely fifteen minute session with excel.
And although I’m more than certain its time saving, the strenuous, multiple command, and extremely large equation typing garbage, not what I call fun.

Obviously if you sit in North Bay somewhere you may have overheard my copious complaints I’ve thrown out in regards to how much the thing annoys me. Excel plain and simple not my cup of coffee ( I don’t care if the saying is tea, I dislike tea and enjoy coffee) so that’s just my take on it if you like it , don’t talk to me about how fantastic it is because I hold to my convictions especially when they annoy

AMAZING TECH IN EACH FRAME

The capability we have for filmmaking today is fantastic; the ability to bless each frame with such clarity is something many strive for but few achieve, and with frank millers comics adapted into films (Sin City and 300) we can finally see how far we have come in our digital age. Each frame looks as if it were realistic even though both used a considerable amount of computer animation with a minimal amount of live action parts.
Seeing each part coming to life so surreal in plot yet so beautiful, each image crisp, something new, with little repetition, and noticing the immense attention to detail shows that with a little bit of effort there is virtually nothing you can’t create.

Now I love classic films, and seeing them enhanced in both audio and picture is something amazing, such films as The Man with No Name trilogy ( Fist Full Of Dollars, For a few dollars more , the good the bad and the ugly) starring Clint Eastwood have been fully re mastered something we should do to every classic. However taking into account the amount of percision required means most of them will not be touched up, some will be left in their gritty old look such as Cool Hand Luke an amazing story starring Paul Newman because of the length of the film and willingness to enrich said film.

Now with each filmmaker’s views being on the future, tech. such as hi def cameras and high quality video editing software become vital in the filmmaker’s toolbox. As they rightly should because of the creativity being in the process of itself, you owe it to yourself to give the best possible imagery for your original idea while maintaining your original aspirations for said project.

Visual Programs,bad tutorials, and frustration.

During the last week of school we were instructed to review various things in relation to the different tutorials surrounding our dated Photoshop software. The main thing behind it was to allow us a better understanding so thankfully our school had broke the bank and kept us with our “lovely” Photoshop 5.0 and not even the full version just a little flavor of it. Fantastic I thought before I realized that fabulous piece of information, I’d be able to learn how to use a program that I’d be interested in before but never had the skill to do properly.
Well as it turned out the perfect little tutorials they had available were for a higher version of Photoshop while we the lovely traditionalists we are, still use the dated software. So I toiled and I tried I moaned and no I didn’t cry I in a manly fashion exclaimed my distaste for the dated program, various tools didn’t work, different effects were harder than implied. They were great, very informative and most of all easy to understand, however the steps were hard, the tools were virtually unavailable and every little technique seemed to be completely useless that they listed. Lets not even begin to talk about the lovely Corel draw that makes you long for the fantastically current Photoshop, it has so many flaws for doing art work, it’d be like using notepad to write your essay instead of Microsoft word .

Consumer priced and worth every penny!

Looking at the Panasonic hdcs1 camera its amazing to notice how many features are available for the price of $1,199.00 us. This camera firstly is hi definition with an amazing display on its 3.0" lcd display, this allows you to be able to get a perfect picture of what the final product will look like.

One of the definate best sellers of this is its design, this camera is beautiful , compact and has an optional image stabalizer which although requires good energy it definately allows good flexibility for your own project either the brithday, soccer game, or your own Spielburgian attempt at stardom.

All the bells and whistles and its free!

Have you ever looked at video editing software online only to be turned away by the large price tag? And even worse the low amount of features considering where the decimal point is placed on that large list of numbers. Promises are something that copiously get broken by software companies though now it seems as if something has come to change all of that, something amazing is finally here to stop the mediocrity and give aspiring filmmakers the leg up and that is Jashaka the new video editing software.

The program for windows pc’s and mac and even linux called Jahshaka has all of the features you’d want and end up paying hundreds for at an unbeatable price, free.
The main selling point is definitely the price point but not to be neglected is the capabilities that this specific software has are definitely amazing, when realizing that new packs with bonus features are able to be unlocked and for free no less be content at a good purchase.

Furthermore , this device allows fast editing, animation over direct video, the ability to create custom music for your project that the pro’s use, and even the capability to paint and design over moving video. This all comes standard! Being able to jump into the game as a filmmaker and work with any resolution of film to develop into your own decent indie’ project is something I would strive to achieve. The site holds many tutorials and various user tips on doing the copious amounts of editing techniques related to film .

Out of all of its potential capabilities I am definitely switching from the conventional movie maker on my windows pc.
